Vision

Vision Statement

We envision a nation filled with altars of unceasing worship and prayer. Places where believers from every church and denomination come together in unity. Compelled by love for God and people, we strive to be a voice for the voiceless and bring hope and help to those in need.

We are a tribe—both local and national—on a journey to pursue His presence and behold His beauty. Our hearts burn with faith for our families, communities, cities, and nation to be reformed and transformed by the enduring glory of God dwelling among us.

Contend Canada carries the Davidic mandate found in Amos 9:11 and Acts 15:16 to “rebuild the Tabernacle of David,” so that “the rest of humanity may seek the Lord.” Our vision is to respond to God’s timeless desire for a resting place (Isaiah 66)—a place where His Spirit meets a broken humanity. It is a beautiful gathering of His people in unity, releasing authentic expressions of worship and adoration.

From these places of intimate devotion, fervent intercession rises to establish His righteousness and rule in the nations. Our primary pursuit of night-and-day worship is simple: He alone is worthy to receive it.

We gather across denominational and cultural boundaries to build an altar of unceasing love—a fire that will not go out until Jesus returns. Together, we join the song and sound of Heaven, echoing the eternal cry: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty!”

As we align our worship with the rhythms of Heaven, we believe the reality of His Kingdom will collide with Earth in our cities, regions, and nation in tangible and supernatural ways. In beholding Him, we are transformed into His likeness, reflecting His glory to the world.

Obeying Jesus’ first commandment—to love the Lord our God with all our heart—naturally compels us to fulfill the second: to love our neighbor as ourselves. From this place of divine love, we carry His presence into every sphere of culture and society, walking in supernatural signs and wonders for His glory.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to cultivate unity within the Body of Christ through continual worship and prayer, and to impact the world by living a missional lifestyle marked by love for others.

Statement of Faith

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God—the final standard for truth and life.

We believe in one eternal God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ, God’s only Son—His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death on the cross, bodily resurrection, and His promised return in power and glory.

We believe in the present and active ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose indwelling empowers every believer to live a godly and transformative life. We affirm the baptism of fire, first poured out in Acts 2, as an essential and ongoing reality in the daily walk of every follower of Christ.

We believe in the resurrection of both the righteous and the lost—the saved to everlasting life and the lost to eternal judgment.
